🎣 Trout Weekend Returns in 2026 — With a Fresh Twist!

Great news for anglers — Trout Weekend is back in 2026! And this time, it’s moving to a brand‑new date.

The new October timing aligns perfectly with the rainbow trout spawning run, and brings greater confidence around water availability, following the unfortunate cancellations in previous years when May conditions proved to be unpredictable.

Even better, the new dates place Trout Weekend towards the start of the 2026–27 trout season, giving anglers the chance to reconnect with the Inland Fisheries Service (IFS) and kick off the season in style.
