Damage to property at Rostrevor Lagoon - Reward for information

None

On Thursday 10th December, the owner of the Rostrevor property at Triabunna found numerous fences cut around his property in an intentional act of vandalism.  As a result stock escaped and significant cost and inconvenience has been caused.

A $5000 reward has been offered for information that leads to conviction of the offenders.

Whilst anglers are not suspected of causing the damage incidents like this can jeopardise access for everyone as the owner has allowed Anglers Access at Rostrevor Lagoon for a number of seasons.

If anyone was fishing the lagoon on Wednesday the 9th or Thursday the 10th December and noticed anything suspicious or have any information that may assist with inquiries we urge you to contact Tasmania Police or Stephen Hepworth Manager (Compliance and Operations) at the Inland Fisheries Service on 0438 338 530.

All information received will be in the strictest confidence.

The landowner has agreed to continue to permit anglers to access the lagoon by prior permission but we do need to ensure this goodwill remains intact.
