In late August vandals destroyed the visitors information bay at Great Lake Lookout at the northern end of Great Lake. With the cooperation and assistance of Central Highlands Council the structure has been repaired and the visitor information panels replaced.

The lookout is a popular roadside rest spot for visitors and offers extensive views over Great Lake. Attractions, maps and angling information are provided.
