Min size: 220 mm Bag limit: 5 Method: Artificials (lures and flies) only Season: 3/8/2024 - 27/4/2025

Background

Above Lake Fergus:
This part of the Little Pine River encompasses Lake Kay and its' lagoons and the area up to Lake Ada. At higher Spring water levels there is some great back water fishing in the ephemeral lagoons along this stretch. Wet fly fishing and sight casting to tailing fish are the feature here . Artificial only methods. Five fish bag limit with only two over 500 mm.

Below Lake Fergus:
From Little Pine Lagoon upstream to Lake Fergus the river offers less backwater fishing and more stream fishing. As this area is outside the Central Plateau Conservation Area all methods permitted and bag limit 12 fish and minimum size 220mm.
