Last week, staff from NRE Fisheries Tasmania and the Inland Fisheries Service hosted a joint fishing clinic along the River Derwent at the New Norfolk Esplanade.

Students from New Norfolk High School had the opportunity to learn a range of freshwater fishing techniques, including bait, lure, and fly fishing. They were also taught about responsible fishing practices, such as selecting appropriate tackle and handling fish properly.

Although no fish were caught, the beautiful weather made for a great day all round.
