Regulations
Background
With its headwaters above Oonah in the Snowdon Plains, it flows 33 kilometres northeast to Bass Strait at Somerset.
Getting There
The Cam River can be accessed from the Murchison Highway (A10) at Somerset 401387E, 5455860N.
Angling Notes
During the sprint and early summer months good runs of whitebait occur, and sea run trout can often be observed feeding on the whitebait schools. The middle and upper reaches flow through steep, densely forested terrain and access can be difficult. There are large numbers of small fish that will readily take celtas, baits and flies.
