Lake Rosebery - Updated Advice About Eating Fish
Following the oil spill at Lake Rosebery in early 2025, ongoing testing by the Department of Health and the Inland Fisheries Service (IFS) has indicated that trout from Lake Rosebery are safe to eat.
The likelihood of contaminants in other fish species, including eels, has been assessed and it is considered that all fish from Lake Rosebery can be eaten safely.
