Hydro Tasmania have informed the Inland Fisheries Service that anglers may notice increased turbidity along Brumbys Creek next week. Hydro Tasmania don’t expect these conditions to persist.

The turbidity is associated with Tasmanian Irrigation’s recent earthmoving works near the Poatina Tailrace.  While the bulk of the materials will be removed to ensure they do not enter the watercourse, Hydro Tasmania are expecting minor amounts to be mobilised into the water when the station comes back on line.   

The completed works will help the Northern Midlands Irrigation Scheme commence delivery of water in October 2026.
