Brown trout season closes Sunday 2 May 2021

Time is running short for the good times (and weather) of the 2020-21 brown trout season

The forecast mild weather for the State this weekend bodes well for those contemplating a last run at the brown trout waters, closing at 11.59pm on Sunday 2 May 2021.  It is also the last days of the Tasmanian Tagged Trout Promotion, where you could claim $10,000 if you can bag the tagged brown trout still swimming around in yingina/Great Lake, Arthurs Lake, Lake Pedder or Lake Burbury. Remember conditions apply and the competition finishes on Sunday also.

For a full list of closing waters, as well as those remaining open all year round or until the closing of the rainbow season, please refer to the Tasmanian Inland Fishing Code 2020-21 here and go to pages 27-34.
