Brushy Lagoon algal bloom

Meander Valley Council sign at Brushy Lagoon

Meander Valley Council have advised that blue green algae may be present in Brushy Lagoon. Further sampling will be undertaken to identify if the algae is toxic.

As a precaution anglers should not drink from the lake, avoid unnecessary contact with the water and wash and cook fish thoroughly before consumption.

Further information will be provided once the water sampling has been completed.
