A new boat was launched this week by Inland Fisheries Service. This vessel will primarily be used for compliance activities such as on water patrols. The new boat is designed so that it can used for other fisheries management duties as well, including carp control on Lake Sorell. The boat is set up to deploy nets quickly and has a bow mounted guide for retrieving nets.

The boat which was built by Plastic Fabrications is constructed of high density polyethylene and is powered by Yamaha 70 Hp four stroke motors.
