Maintenance to the road into Double Lagoon

None
Works undertaken by the IFS to improve access into Double Lagoon.

If you ventured into the Nineteen Lagoon area of the Western Lakes during the second week of December 2012 you would have noticed machinery undertaking maintenance to the road heading into Double Lagoon. With funding assistance from MAST the Inland Fisheries Service has undertaken maintenance on the Double Lagoon road and access to the lake shore for launching small boats. This road had become badly potholed with the last portion often closed due to the conditions. The improvements will see better drainage providing access for longer periods during the trout season and safer launching of boats.

Please remember to reduce your speed when travelling on these back lake roads, to extend road life, limit damage to wildlife and your vehicle and for the safety of yourself and other drivers.
