Those who have attended the IFS Trout Weekend within the last 10 years would have met Kevin Hyland and the Giant Freshwater Crayfish (GFC) he had on display.

To support Kevin's legacy the community is invited to join the team from the Lobster Ponds Haven for a fun day with tours, activities and fundraising to help support the Lobster Ponds.

When:  Saturday 3 October 2026 from 10am - 3pm

Entry is by gold coin donation, with all funds raised helping support
the future of the Lobster Ponds Haven.

On the day you can walk the ponds at your own pace, see GFC and go on guided pond and aviary tours (with 22+ species of native birds and finches).

There's also face painting, kids colouring activities, a sausage sizzle, homemade scones and a raffle.
