The North West Fly Fishing Club is hosting their annual fly fishing expo on Sunday 25 October 2026 at Pet Dam, Ridgley. Access is via Circular Road on the eastern side of the dam.

This will be a free event running from 10 am to 3 pm.

You can learn to fly cast under the tuition of club members. This is a fishing licence free event, and practice rods will be provided for attendees.

Inland Fisheries Service (IFS) and Marine and Safety Tasmania staff will be in attendance.

There will also be kayak displays, fly tying demonstrations and a flare demonstration.  A BBQ lunch will be available on the day.

If you have ever wanted to learn the art of fly fishing, this is a great event to attend.

The IFS would like to thank the North West Fly Fishers Club for their efforts in organising and running the day.
