Landcare Action Grants 2026

Landcare Tasmania has announced the 'Landcare Action Grants 2026: Protecting, Enhancing, and Maintaining Tasmania's Natural Values'.

This grant program will provide $240,000 for Landcare Tasmania members' on-ground projects that protect, enhance, and maintain high conservation value areas, while also aligning with at least one of the overall State Government Landcare Action Grant Objectives:

  • Improving landscape and riverine health, stability and resilience;
  • Supporting enhanced land management practices to reduce erosion and sedimentation;
  • Assisting the community to holistically manage natural and productive land and waterways across the landscape.

Previous Landcare grants programs have enabled outstanding riparian works on rivers to improve overall waterway health through the reduction of erosion/sedimentation, along with removal of weeds (including willows).

Healthier rivers mean healthier fisheries, so we encourage anyone interested to visit the Landcare Action Grants 2026 project page on the Landcare Tasmania website for further information.
