Honours Project Available - Development of a Mathematical Stocking Model for Assisted Trout Fisheries in Tasmania

Calling all potential fisheries management and modelling students with a passion for trout and the Tasmanian inland fishery!
The Inland Fisheries Service (IFS) is collaborating with the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) to develop a mathematical stocking model to support the management of assisted trout fisheries in Tasmania.
If you have recently completed undergraduate studies in fisheries, have an interest in mathematical model development, and are looking for an honours project where you will have the opportunity to work closely with the IFS and modellers from IMAS – then this project could be for you.
The project is available for a mid-2025 start, or early 2026 if not filled this year.
