Hydro Tasmania advises that Butlers Gorge Road has temporarily reopened, giving access to Clark Dam, Lake King William, the lookout and the boat ramp. The road is expected to stay fully open until early February 2026.  

In early February, Hydro Tasmania also expects to make the Lake King William camp ground available for recreational use. 

There is no change to access to Mossy Marsh Dam which remains open for anglers and recreational use.
