How the Infish App accesses, collects, uses, and shares user data.

When using the Infish App certain user information is required for some features to operate. This user data is used within the app as follows:

Geolocation.

Geolocation is used to provide anglers with a list of the nearest fishing locations to their current location. This data is only accessed in a transient fashion when this part of the app is accessed. The app does not collect, record, share or store angler location data in any way.

Personal Information.

Anglers are able to use all of the general features within the app, including Going Fishing, IFS Angling Code and Latest News without providing any personal information.

To use the Licence and Angler Diary section of the app, anglers must be registered for online access with IFS. The registration process can be accessed from within the app if you are not already registered.

The Inland Fisheries Service is a service of the State Government of Tasmania, with the issuing of licences being strictly governed by the relevant legislation. By accessing the app with your Angler Account you will gain access to your current licensing information and the Angler Diary.

To access the Licence and Angler Diary section you will be required to provide your Licence Number.

All Angler Diary entries created within the app are collected and stored by IFS to enable access to the diary from any platform or device the angler uses.

This data is not shared with any third party outside of IFS and the developers.
