Background
Excluding Adjacent to the Salmon Ponds
The Plenty River enters the Derwent River at Plenty. The river is best accessed by the B62 from New Norfolk or the C610 which turns southwest off the B62, the latter takes you to the mid and upper reaches. Apart from the area adjacent to the Salmon Ponds it is a 5 fish daily bag limit. All methods may be used. All salmonid species can be encountered here.
Adjacent to the Salmon Ponds:
The Plenty River adjacent to the Salmon Ponds is reserved for anglers with a disability. The fishing is restricted to the three platforms that are on the Salmon Ponds grounds. There is a one fish bag limit.
