The road to Brushy Lagoon

The road to Brushy Lagoon has been re-opened by the Parks and Wildlife Service. Two new bridges have been constructed. These replace temporary ones that were put in after the June 2016 floods.

A new top layer of gravel is being put on the road. This should be finished within the next fortnight. This means that the horrible bumps are now all fixed and the drive into Brushy Lagoon is much more pleasant.

Brushy Lagoon is open all year. It is the popular winter fishing water in the north of the State. We would like to thank Parks and Wildlife for their work. This improved access to the lagoon will be greatly appreciated by trout anglers and all other users of the area.

Along with a good population of resident brown trout, Brushy Lagoon is regularly stocked with rainbow trout and Atlantic salmon, providing excellent sport for anglers. For those that have never been to Brushy Lagoon before, the anglers access brochure can be found here.
