River Derwent Anglers Access – volunteers workers required!

None

The River Derwent Anglers Access project has progressed to the installation stage. We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably skilled volunteers to assist with the installation of infrastructure and signs at identified access locations.

Volunteers will preferably need to have transport, be physically fit and be prepared to register as an Inland Fisheries Service volunteer.

Work will include installation of signs, construction of stiles and step overs and track construction. Desirable skills or experience  include basic timber construction skills, landscaping skills and use of basic hand tools.

Installation work will be conducted between Dowsings Point and Gretna between October and December. If you have a day or a week to spare, would like to see some great fishing spots on the River Derwent and make a real contribution to the Anglers Access project contact Neil Morrow on neil.morrow@ifs.tas.gov.au
