Anglers Access infrastructure damaged in Tasmanian floods

None

The devastating floods that have struck much of Tasmania are likely to have caused significant damage to Anglers Access infrastructure on northern rivers.

Inland Fisheries staff will be out and about assessing damage over coming weeks and planning repairs over the coming months.

Thank you to anglers who have contacted the IFS with offers of help.

What can you do?

Many landowners who provide access for anglers have been badly hit by the floods. Please show your support by contributing to the following relief funds:

  • Rural Relief Fund. Donate at selected IGA stores, any ANZ branch, online at www.ruralbusinesstasmania.org.au
  • The Lions Club of Latrobe has a Disaster Relief Account with the Commonwealth Bank (BSB 067-015, account 10067952) and has collection tins at Hill Street Grocer, Latrobe Council office and Terry White Pharmacy. This is for monetary donations only.

Please don’t enter Anglers Access sites until damage has been looked at and made safe. If you notice any stiles or signs that can be collected by IFS staff, please let us know the location and details by calling 1300 INFISH (1300463474) or emailing infish@ifs.tas.gov.au.
