A tidy up at Four Springs

The Fours Springs Dam wall

This week we cut down all the wattle trees and other saplings along the full length of the dam wall at Four Springs Lake. A number of larger gums and black woods were dropped as well. This is done every few years to protect the integrity of the structure.  We will check for re growth in late spring and treat with spray if needed.

We also cut down and pruned the wattles surrounding and encroaching on the carpark and boat ramp area. A number of the wattles were dead. A large amount of debris was piled and burnt on site. The work has resulted in a large amount of parking area being reclaimed.
