Draft Tasmanian Inland Recreational Fishery Management Plan 2007 - 2017
The Tasmanian Inland Recreational Fishery Management Plan is an overarching plan that sets the direction for the fishery in inland waters for the next ten years. The primary focus of the plan is the recreational trout fishery but other important issues such as the management of native fish and threatened species conservation are also addressed.
The Service wants to document its clear, focussed approach to the management of the fishery and ensure a consensus on the direction being taken. The plan provides a vehicle to achieve this.
The plan is for anglers, key stakeholders and anyone with a particular interest in the fishery. It will also provide the Service with a blueprint for future management decisions.
