The Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Service have advised that certain roads and campgrounds in the Waterhouse Lakes Conservation Area have been closed temporarily due to water damage following major flooding events earlier in the year and four-wheel drive vehicles are recommended for those roads remaining open.
Plans are being prepared for long term road repairs and road works should be completed prior to Christmas.
Campgrounds closed include Blackmans Lagoon, South Croppies, Village Green and part of Casuarina. Those remaining open include Ransons, Mathers and Brads (Brads toilet closed).
Four-wheel drive beach access at Boobyalla is closed due to erosion.
