Stocking for Junior Anglers
During the second week of February, the Inland Fisheries stocked three Junior Angler waters in the north west of the State with adult rainbow trout in preparation for fishing events. These were Frombergs Dam, near Ulverstone, Robertsons Dam, near Yolla and Taylors Dam between Latrobe and Devonport.

During the second week of February, the Inland Fisheries stocked three Junior Angler waters in the north west of the State with adult rainbow trout in preparation for fishing events. These were Frombergs Dam, near Ulverstone, Robertsons Dam, near Yolla and Taylors Dam between Latrobe and Devonport.
The Junior Angler events at these waters are regularly run by the respective organisations, the Young Anglers Development organisation from Ulverstone, and the Wynyard and Devonport Anglers Clubs. Each of the waters received 250 rainbow trout, which weighed around 1.5 kg and were donated by Springfield Hatcheries.
The junior angling event which was run at Frombergs Dam on the following Sunday 13 February was a stunning success. The Young Anglers Development is a well organised group which hosts a junior event at Frombergs every last Sunday in the month from 10 am to 3 pm.
