November Domestic Fish Stockings
November has been a busy month for the stock out of domestic rainbow trout and Atlantic salmon to various waters for public fishing and angling club event days. These fish have been kindly donated by two commercial hatcheries, Petuna Aquaculture and Springfield Fisheries.

November has been a busy month for the stock out of rainbow trout and Atlantic salmon to various waters for public fishing and angling club event days. These fish have been kindly donated by two commercial hatcheries, Petuna Aquaculture and Springfield Fisheries.
Over 600 Atlantic salmon and rainbow trout, weighing on average 2.5 kg and 1 kg respectively, were stocked into four event waters. These were Taylors Dam for Devonport Anglers, Frombergs Dam for Young Anglers Development and also the North Western Fisheries Association ‘Annual Girls Day Out’, Robertsons Dam for Wynyard Anglers and a dam on the Glen Murrough property for the Deloraine Fishing Club.
Brushy Lagoon received another boost of domestic fish, these ones being donated by Petuna Aquaculture. They were 330 Atlantic salmon with an average weight of 2.5 kg and 30 rainbow trout weighing around 3 kg. These latest stockings should set Brushy up for some excellent early summer fishing.
