Maintenance work on the track into popular Brumbys Creek, near Cressy, known as Fisheries Lane was completed this week. The track had deteriorated signficantly due to the wet conditions in winter and spring with many large water filled potholes. Some were so big that the Service was considering stocking them!

As weather permitted over the past week, the Service, with the support and assistance of the Northern Midlands Council, undertook the maintenance work which involved the application of 650 tonnes of road base, and grading and rolling at a cost of around $10,000.

Users can assist in keeping the lane in good condition for as long as possible, and avoiding future costly maintenance, by observing the 20 kmh speed limit.
