The third tagged trout worth $1000 cash to a lucky licensed angler in the Inland Fisheries' FISH4CASH promotion was released at Lake Meadowbank today, Friday October 19. The trophy sized female rainbow trout weighed a hefty 7 kg. To collect their money, the angler must present their catch along with the IFS tag and their angling licence details to the Inland Fisheries Service at New Norfolk during business hours. The Fish4Cash promotion, which will run for the duration of the 2007-08 season, is designed to encourage more Tasmanians to have a go at trout fishing. The first trout, which was released into the Bradys chain of lakes, was caught within six days of its release while the second was caught within eight days of its release at Brushy Lagoon.
