Huntsman Lake Foot and Vehicle Access
IFS has installed signs and pedestrian gates to define foot access for anglers to the sheltered western shore of Huntsman Lake, enabling anglers to fish from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset. The opening hours of the boom gates have also been changed in line with daylight savings.
IFS has installed signs and pedestrian gates to define foot access for anglers to the sheltered western shore of Huntsman Lake. The four access points are along Huntsman Rd and are not restricted by the opening and closing times of the boom gates to the boat ramp and Dairy day use areas.
Foot access will allow shore based anglers to fish during the permitted period prescribed for Huntsman Lake - from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset. IFS would like to acknowledge Rivers and Waters Supply Commission, the owner/manager of the Lake, for their cooperation in making this possible.
The opening hours of the boom gates at Huntsman Lake allowing vehicle access to the boat ramp and day use area, have been extended in line with daylight saving. The gates will now open at 6.00 am and close at 8.00 pm.
