You should check the long range weather forecast whilst planning your trip, and the short range forecast in the event of a weather alert. MAST has a Telephone Boating Weather Service covering the southern, northern, north-western and eastern regions of the State. In the case of an emergency or boating accident, contact the Police, MAST and the State Emergency Service.

Highland Conditions

The weather in the highlands of Tasmania is highly changeable.  You can check the current conditions at Arthurs Lake courtesy of Weathernow from Datacall. To get information that is less than 30 seconds old SMS "wn" (case sensitive) to 0428 446 539.

A webcam has been set up at Pumphouse Bay, Arthurs Lake. This camera gives a view over Arthurs Lake to Brazendale Island, the Morass and beyond. The camera has been set up through a collaborative project between Coastview, Anglers Alliance Tasmania and the Inland Fisheries Service. Arthurs Lake Webcam.
