Anglers Alliance Tasmania

AAT represents the interests of all Tasmanian and visiting licensed anglers and works with State and Local Government through the Inland Fisheries Service to ensure the sustainability and potential of Tasmania’s recreational fresh water fishery.

Affiliated angling clubs, Professional and Industry Associations and independent angler representatives make up the Committee of AAT which meets quarterly whilst the day to day affairs are conducted by an executive Committee and Officer.

AAT is the peak body for fresh water anglers and is officially

recognised by Government by providing a combined angler voice for the Inland Fisheries Service and all other entities involved with the fishing resource.

AAT regularly communicates with anglers through its committee structure and www.anglersalliance.org.au which provides the latest news on projects together with Committee minutes. Views and input are always welcome through eo@anglersalliance.org.au

Angling clubs and associations

Tasmania has an extensive network of angling clubs located in major cities and towns across the State. These networks operate within three broad geographic areas – North, North West and South. An Association represents each region. The peak freshwater angling body, Anglers Alliance Tasmania Inc represents these associations as well as the Tasmanian Fly Fishing Association, which represents most fly fishing clubs.
