The Service aims to manage the fishery for the benefit of anglers. Your comments – whether you make them as an individual angler or a member of an angling club or association – on management strategies, fishery plans and marketing are important. The Service welcomes your ideas for improvement as well as periodic reports on fishery performance.

Fishery management plans have been developed for Great Lake and Penstock Lagoon, as well as for the Western Lakes, and more are planned. A ten year statewide Plan was prepared in 2008. A period of public comment is provided in the draft phase of all such plans.
