This is an annual event organised as part of the North East Rivers Festival. The competition is open to the public. It is designed as a fun event for the whole family, with barbeque food and beverages, and other amenities available on site.

Trout Weekend - Liawenee from May 19, 2012 12:00 AM to May 20, 2012 12:00 AM

This is an annual event organised by the IFS and is based around the spawning migration of wild brown trout in Great Lake. The IFS provide a display of management programs and a demonstration of trout egg harvesting. There is a trade exhibit, food and beverage, entertainment and free entry for kids to fish for trout. Entry is by gold coin donation.
